This is my favourite smoothie

This is my favourite smoothie that you will have seen show up on my Instagram stories on the regular. I make it mega size because I enjoy it so much and because I’m an eater! I’m not one to skimp on meal – or smoothie – sizes. That, by the way, is one of the reasons that I choose to eat healthy. I would much rather eat good helpings than try to limit my portion size. Even the thought of that is awful! Anyway I’m steering off course… Back to the smoothie.

This smoothie is loaded with protein and fat so even though it tastes sweet it won’t spike your blood sugar levels. As you know if you follow me on Instagram is that I’m a huge advocate of keeping your blood sugar levels steady for multiple reasons, weight-management being one of them.

I never measure anything, I just throw them in so I suggest you do the same to find the perfect taste for you, but the ingredients are

  • Frozen blueberries
  • Frozen banana (Just tastes sweeter than non-frozen so I like it better.)
  • Mixture of nuts and seeds (You could also use nut butters.)
  • Scoop of protein powder (My favourite flavour is vanilla. If you’re using whey protein make sure it’s made of grass-fed cow’s milk.)
  • Kefir (I use no other liquid as I like my smoothie heavy and thick. If you like yours thinner you could use a milk of your choice.)
